Reported crime map
SAPD links to the LexisNexis Community Crime Map. Search an address and filter by dates and available offense types. Coverage depends on the participating agencies and the reports they provide.

Recent SAPD calls for service
Explore police calls from the last seven days on the City’s interactive map. A call for service means someone requested police assistance; it does not establish that a crime occurred. Initial call descriptions may change after investigation.
Police response and activity
The City’s dashboard shows calls, response times, offense reports, arrest reports, and changes over time within SAPD’s jurisdiction. The City updates it monthly and notes that it is not intended to measure crime.

How to read this information
- These resources are not a complete, combined crime count for Commissioner Precinct 4. Agency coverage and available dates vary.
- Calls for service, reported offenses, and arrests measure different things.
- A map of incidents does not show a population-adjusted crime rate. More dots alone do not establish that one neighborhood is less safe than another.
- Check each source’s definitions, update date, and limitations before drawing conclusions.
